Let us grab the data
You can either invite our migration user email address to access your client's books temporarily, so we can extract the data we need, or we'll give you details on exactly which reports to run yourself and a secure place to upload them.
Secure data transfer
We're ISO 27001 certified for Information Security, so we have robust data management practices in place. All data will be securely transferred into Easy Business App and any temporary extracts provided will be deleted.
Unlimited clients
We will transfer the current and previous financial years of data for free for as many clients as you are migrating.

What we can migrate
We can migrate the following data for the current and previous financial year*:
- Chart of Accounts
- Customers (aka 'Contacts')
- Products (for invoicing)
- Payroll employees
- Account balances
What we cannot currently migrate:
- Previous payruns/STP data
- But we can help you with a YTD payslip.
- Vendors
- We don't currently have Vendor records, but they're coming later this year.
- Inventory Stock levels (we don't support inventory)
- Bank transactions
- We recommend connecting your client bank accounts and just importing new transactions after the migration date.
* Please note this offer is only available to partner accountants and bookkeepers. Unfortunately, we don't currently have the capacity to migrate individual small businesses directly. We are working on some automated tools for later in the year to help business owners directly!

We make a migration plan
We'll make sure you're comfortable with what can (and cannot!) be migrated, and ensure that Easy Business App is a great fit for each of your clients. The last thing we want to do is migrate a client that is a poor fit.
We'll discuss your migration strategy, how we can best access existing data and come up with a migration plan including a timeline.
We usually start with moving one or two clients first so we can ensure everyone is comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are they any restrictions on this free offer?
We only ask that you be a bookkeeper/BAS agent or an accountant who works with 5 or more micro or small business clients.
Unfortunately, due to capacity we can't currently offer free migration services directly to small business owners.
If you're a small business owner interested in moving to Easy Business App, talk to your bookkeeper or accountant and ask them to reach out to us for a chat!
Can you migrate transaction-level data?
Not currently, but we're working on it for future.
We can currently migrate account balances (via journals). Plus, we'll migrate the Chart of Accounts, Customers, Products and Employees for each client.
What happens at BAS/tax time? Do you do direct lodgements?
We don't currently do BAS lodgements directly, but we do plan to in the future.
Because Easy Business App is proper double-entry accounting software, you can create any journals you need and get your figures right directly in the software.
Most of our advisors lodge BAS via the ATO portal — we have a BAS report that shows all the figures you need in one place.
At tax time, most of our accountants simply run a trial balance and import it into their tax software. Some with more complex requirements maintain a Ledger file in another tool.
For those that want the most finite detail, you can run (and export!) our Transactions report to get every GL line item for import into other software for tax prep.
Is this a good option for my smaller clients?
Yes, very likely!
Easy Business App is specifically built for micro and small businesses and you — their advisor.
This means it is easy-to-use, even for your clients who aren't the greatest with technology. We're always happy to help out those clients directly too — we have live chat and a phone number, so your clients (and you!) can get real-time support.
